The Salvation Army’s website is the main hub for all of the Sallies’ centres in New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. The site is heavily focused on providing help to people in need and telling the public about the services that they offer. Ministry groups can use the website to set up their own pages, add documents for download and update content as they please. Our goal was to encourage these diverse Ministries to express their individuality, without sacrificing the overall user experience or mission of the site itself.
Beautiful and carefully crafted navigation menus help to provide a feeling of reassurance, allowing visitors to quickly scan the site for relevant information and ways to get in touch.
The Welfare section is the workhorse of the Salvation Army website; it informs visitors about the organisation’s wide array of vital outreach services that they provide and offers practical advice for people in need of help. The undemanding and simple to follow interface aims to relieve stress by making it easy for visitors to find the information they want when they need it.
Having the ability to take donations online has made it easier for organisations like the Salvation Army to raise the indispensable funds required to complete projects and to get new ones off the ground.
This interactive map was created to help visitors find nearby Salvation Army centres and to become of the services available within their community.
